Alcohol

For those who suffer from the disease of alcoholism its seems to be an almost universal truth that before things can get better they have to get worse...usually a lot worse

They call it Rock Bottom

Rock bottom is a place every alcoholic must go to before he finally is ready to admit he has a problem and reaches for help. To the true alcoholic it doesn't seem to him or her that they have a problem, they are just having a good time and if everybody would get off their backs then things would be fine. They have a disease but remember to them it sure doesn't seem like that .
They are enjoying themselves and  It will never occur to them they need help until they arrive at rock bottom
Rock bottom a place every alcoholic goes but only a few return.
Once they are there they start to belive the only thing left for them in life is alcohol and they are convinced they are powerless to stop
One alcoholic who went to rock bottom and came back and became the most powerful man in the world, His name is George Bush who  became the president of USA  George Bush Is a recovering alcoholic and that should give hope to us all

You Are you still drinking ?if so that is ok   you are welcome  to as much help form this site as anyone else

Let me point out though  that Korsakoff`s disease will deteriorate regardless of treatment if  alcohol is present but  if  your reply is I can drink a little now and again without any problems ha ha right  if   you can your  not Alcoholic  are  you

Ive been  Chronic alcoholic for 30 years I am well aware that regardless of councillors, or any support organization who do try to help you that in reality there are only two people who have the power to stop you drinking
One of them is you but I know that unless you make the decision to stop then it will never happen regardless of how much pressure or support is sent your way and  if your going  to stop because others want you to...forget  it  dont even try because  the person you love  more than anyone the person you will nevr  harm the person you will die  for  goes  by the name  ALCOHOL..full stop and for alcohol u dont care who you hurt
The other is God off course, when he decides he wants you to stop.. you will  because
He will kill you; it is as simple as that
Unfortunately I know that if you are drinking now that doesn't scare you at all. I can think of friends I once knew alcoholics and he decided to help them in that way, and now there is no turning back they are dead
As you read this remember the choice is still yours, maybe you are like I was I did not believe I could I stop I tried many times but failed.
I even travelled to Belgium and obtained 3 antabuse in plants and had them surgically implanted in my stomach privately in the UK,I was told that should I drink within 6 months of having one implanted I would die
I drank after two months and I got a slight headache.

I didn't start drinking until 21 by the time I was 23 I was alcoholic at 30 I was Chronic Alcoholic I didn't drink it I needed it. I drank from the moment I woke  until I collapsed there was no In between
I once told a doctor... I would kill for alcohol, and I meant it
And yet I had friends who drank more than me and alcoholism passed them by.I'm told that it is in my genes and yes I have ancestors who were alcoholics, but my Mother and Father would maybe have 1 glass of beer a week. I'm also told that Others Social behaviour seen by a child can cause alcoholism and yes I was brought up in a public house as my parents kept a pub, and I saw many people drinking in the pub as I lived there from the age of ten. Who Knows? the shrinks  dont theyre  guessing thats why they differ so much in opinions

Somehow 12 years ago I stopped I think because the time had comr where  I had had enogh and I wanted to stop...belive  me I wewnt  cold  turkey  for  a  month and nearly  died  in fact withdrawal was so bad i would of  been pleased to die

Enough of me..and please remember  drinking or not should u contact me I will do all i can to help  you..and I truly know what you are going through
