Now the journey goes on, where to and who knows what will be found, but the important thing is that it continues.
We have a disease that for many years has been miss diagnosed and placed under the alzimers category subsequently many doctors are of little knowledge of how to treat this condition correctly and unless we shout as loud as we can that we want the correct treatment for the illness we have, Then it won’t happen.
I know that alcohol related illnesses are sometimes pushed under the carpet because of opinions and comments such as,
"They brought it on themselves by drinking. I am sure you have heard them
Well that's Poppy cot I could relate the same comments to tobacco and cancer no one would even think of passing any judgment of that nature to someone suffering with a tobacco related illnessWe have an illness and like anyone with any illness we want correct treatment and care
5 years ago my consultant prescribed me Thiamine, which is correct and has helped tremendously, but the bad side to it was 3 months after prescribing it My daughter searching for info on my disease found out that the dosage I should be taking was double what had been prescribed. The consultant was informed and doubled the prescription.
This man was in charge of all my care package a CONSULTANT and in reality didn't even know the correct dosage of medication he was prescribing, how much confidence did that install in me about him
Luckily he moved on
It has to change, it has started to, it will continue to by me and others like me and others after us, until what we ask for is available for all.
